Prepare for Sleep

Prepare for Sleep
In traditional Chinese wellness, preparing for sleep is less about forcing the body to rest and more about creating the conditions for it to soften naturally. As evening settles in, the ritual becomes quieter: warm the body with a gentle foot soak, sip a simple herbal tea, dim the lights, and slow the breath. A few minutes of light massage along the temples, neck, or soles of the feet can become a signal that the day is complete. Rather than adding more stimulation, the practice is about letting go—of tension, noise, and the need to keep doing. Repeated night after night, these small acts create a familiar rhythm: warm, release, settle, sleep. A traditional ritual, translated for modern evenings.
