Chamomile

Chamomile

Chamomile is harvested from the blooms of Matricaria recutita, an annual herb of the Asteraceae family. Similar daisy-like floral herbs grow widely in China and hold an important place in local herbal skincare practices. Its soft floral aroma and mild, sweet character make it a staple soothing botanical within our herbal collection.

In the Compendium of Materia Medica

While German chamomile itself is not listed in Compendium of Materia Medica, many similar mild soothing flower botanicals native to China are recorded within this classic text and used in ancient Chinese skincare rituals.

In modern practice & our ritual

Chamomile flower naturally contains apigenin and bisabolol. Peer-reviewed studies indexed on PubMed document preliminary in vitro lab research highlighting its antioxidant and soothing traits under controlled laboratory environments. These results have not been verified through large-scale human clinical trials. We use chamomile to infuse our formulas with soft floral comfort, building gentle calming self-care rituals rooted in plant tradition, with no medical promises.
